What can therapy do for me?
The benefits you receive from therapy will depend on your needs and goals for therapy. I am here to support, teach you new ways to cope, and help you discover tools that you can apply to tackling anxiety, grief, parenting, relationship troubles, or even creative blocks.
You don’t need to be struggling with a mental health diagnosis to find therapy beneficial. The skills and resources that you acquire in therapy are applicable to all aspects of your life, including grief, family problems, work issues, and more.
Still on the fence? Here are some of the most common benefits of therapy:
- Understanding your own motivations better
- Working towards your goals and dreams
- Building a skill set to develop healthier relationships
- Learning resources you can use to stop the issues that brought you to therapy
- Managing problem areas in your personal life, such as stress or anxiety.
- Creating new patterns of behavior for yourself
- Changing your problem-solving perspective
- Boosting your self-esteem and confidence
It is never a bad idea to have additional support and understanding when it comes to the obstacles you are going through.
If you understand yourself enough to realize you actually could use some help, therapy is the first step down an incredible path that can lead to long-lasting benefits for the rest of your life.
Your reasons for coming to therapy are unique to you, whether you are going through a big life change or a specific event like grief, or just aren’t dealing with stressful situations ideally. Many people reach out for help with grief, anxiety, relationship issues, or when they feel stuck and just don’t know what to do.
Therapy is a personal decision, but if you take a look at your life, and your desire is to make a change that starts from within, it’s likely that therapy could be a great benefit.

Yes. Online therapy is available to residents of Texas at a time and date that is convenient for you. Many of my clients come for a session in Flower Mound when they are in town and then continue the course of therapy online. Online therapy is a good choice for you if you are constantly out of town or away at college, have a challenging work schedule, or find it difficult to make it into the office.
