Meet Your Therapist

Alexandr Philip, LPC-S
"I wish I had come sooner."
That's what clients tell Alex Philip — again and again. Not because therapy was easier than they expected. But because for the first time, they felt genuinely understood.
Alex doesn't rush. He watches. He listens. He gives you the space to tell your story at your own pace — and then, at exactly the right moment, asks the question that opens the door you didn't know was there.
"I've tried other therapists," clients often say, "but they don't do what you do. You actually get me."
That's not an accident. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with specialized training in anxiety, grief, and life transitions, Alex has built his entire practice around one belief: that real healing begins the moment someone finally feels heard. Not diagnosed. Not managed. Heard.
Whether you're carrying grief that others say you should be over by now, anxiety that follows you everywhere, or something you've never been able to explain to anyone — Alex meets you exactly where you are. He offers both faith-based and traditional counseling, because he knows healing looks different for everyone.
His Flower Mound office and online sessions across Texas and Florida are a place where you don't have to perform, explain yourself, or have it all figured out before you walk in.
You just have to show up. He'll take it from there.
Healing starts with one honest conversation. And you don't have to have it all figured out first.
Your Story Deserves to Be Heard — Not Just Managed.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, or a major life change, Heavenly Counseling offers a space where your story is heard and your healing is honored. We blend evidence-based therapy with the option for Christian counseling — tailored to your beliefs, your pace, and your goals. In-person in Flower Mound, or online across TX & FL.

Frequently Asked Questions
How will I know if therapy is working?
You may notice subtle shifts over time. You might start to have more "good" days than "bad" days. You might find yourself re-engaging with hobbies or people, feeling less overwhelmed by triggers, or beginning to think about the future with a sense of hope. We will provide check-ins to monitor your progress on a regular basis.
Is everything I share completely confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is the cornerstone of therapy. Everything you say is protected by strict ethical and legal standards. The only exceptions are rare, specific situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, which we are legally required to report.
I don't live in Flower Mound. Can I still work with you?
Absolutely. While we love seeing clients in our Flower Mound, TX office, many of our clients come from the greater Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. We are also proud to offer secure online therapy (telehealth) to residents throughout DFW, all of Texas, and Florida. Whether you’re in Dallas, Fort Worth, or anywhere else in the state, all you need is a quiet private space and a stable internet connection to receive compassionate, expert support from the comfort of your own home.
What are your session fees and do you accept insurance?
We believe in transparency, and we’re happy to discuss our session fees with you during your free consultation.
We do bill insurance companies directly for clients who are covered under plans we are paneled with. We are currently in-network with the following insurance providers:
- Aetna PPO
- BCBS PPO
- UnitedHealthcare PPO
- Optum Health
- Medicare
If we are not in-network with your insurance provider, we can still provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
If you have questions about your coverage, we’ll be glad to help you understand your options during your consultation.
What is the therapist’s role? Will you just listen?
Listening is a huge part of our role, but it's more than that. We are active partners. We will ask thoughtful questions, offer insights, provide education about the grieving process, and teach you practical coping strategies. We are here to guide, validate, and support you.
Do you offer anxiety counseling?
Yes, absolutely—anxiety counseling is one of my core specialties, helping clients manage symptoms like racing thoughts, panic, or overwhelming worry through evidence-based approaches like mindfulness techniques and personalized coping strategies. Whether your anxiety is tied to grief, stress, or daily life challenges, we'll work together in a supportive space to build resilience and find lasting relief. If this resonates, reach out to info@heavenlycounseling.com for a free 15-minute consultation to discuss how I can support you, either in-person in Flower Mound, TX, or virtually.
Why is a credit card required on file?
To save time and keep our sessions focused entirely on your support, we require a credit card to be kept on file. Payments are processed automatically and confidentially after each appointment through our secure, HIPAA-compliant system.
